Eight Network Creations Private Limited (“we/ us/ our(s)”) built the ‘EIGHT’ Web Portal and App (“Web Portal and App”) to provide users an uninterrupted and safe space to stream and consume audio content without having to worry about unjust solicitation of any personal or proprietary information (“Service(s)”). This Service is provided by us and is intended for the user to use the same as is.

The protection and security of your personal information and usage information is one of our top priorities. The present Policy is for our users to be able to know, identify, and understand how we use any personal information received by way of providing our Services through the Web Portal and App. A broad understanding of the same is condensed hereunder, however, we request you to read the complete Policy:

  1. The Web Portal and App provides Services to its users that allow them to interact with a live audience (other users) by way of different audio communication manners.
  2. We record and use the personal information of our users for the purposes of, including but not limited to, communication, marketing, compliance with applicable laws, etc.

This information will be publicly accessible and may be viewed by anyone accessing the App. you may upload any image in relation to your profile, including but not limited to your display picture, station banner, etc., as well as an audio-only file (in any available and acceptable format) for streaming purposes as far as the same is allowed under law or through proprietor permissions on our Web Portal and/or App. It is also clarified that all uploads of any content (images, audio files, or otherwise) need to conform to our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines including the provisions of the present Policy. you can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of our Services. If you make any purchases/ subscriptions from Us or on the Web Portal and App, we will need to process your payment data. The exact personal data collected and used will vary depending on the payment method. It will include information such as name, date of birth, payment method type (e.g. credit or debit card), if using a debit or credit card, the card type, expiration date, and certain digits of your card number, ZIP/postal code, mobile phone number, details of your purchase and payment history

Automatic Information: We automatically collect and store certain types of information about your use of our Services, including information about your interaction with content and services available through the Web Portal and App such as, without limitation, streaming history, search queries, browsing history, account settings, interactions with other users, your use of third-party services, devices and applications in connection with the Services, inferences (i.e., our understanding) of your interests and preferences based on your usage of the Services, content you post to any part of the Services (images, audio, text, titles, descriptions, communications, and other types of content). Further, your interactions with our Web Portal and Apps, sites, and Services create data that is automatically stored by us; for example, when you open the Web Portal and App, listen to a title, download a title, search our catalog, leave a review or contact us for help. we also use your contact details and content preferences to improve your experience and to invent new ways to make things even better for you in the future.

Additional Information: using third-party platforms for logging in to our Web Portal and App enables us to see and utilize any personal information that you have made publicly available on such platforms of the nature mentioned above. However, in doing so, we are not made privy to your social activity on such platforms as your posts, stories, status updates, tweets, etc. Further, you understand and acknowledge that by logging in by way of your phone number, or through any third-party service provider(s) or social media platform(s), you give us unrestricted rights to see, save, and use your personal information along with allowing us to synchronize with your contacts, such as your address book, friend list, followers, etc. Further, by using any third-party application for logging in to our Web Portal and App, you agree and undertake to abide by and follow the terms and conditions and policies of such third party and you shall, in no manner whatsoever, hold us liable for any non-compliance with such policies and terms and conditions.

Log Data and Device Information: We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the App we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device’s Internet Protocol address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the Web Portal and App when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. In particular, we may collect information about log-in authentication attempts and successful authentications, your hardware and software, such as the hardware model, operating system version, device memory, unique application identifiers, apps installed, unique device identifiers, browser type, and information about your wireless and mobile network connections, such as mobile phone number, service provider, IP address, and signal strength. We also collect information through actions done by you on our Web Portal and App which includes your social interactions with other users and channels by way of messaging, comments, likes, and marking favorites, people you follow as well as what channels you listen to, liked and/or shared, etc.

Other uses: In addition to the aforesaid, we will use your information for the following purposes: (i) to improve our Web Portal and App and addition of features to our Web Portal and App; (ii) to provide targeted content based on your Web Portal and App behavior; (iii) push notifications and communications about the Web Portal and App such as security alerts, announcements, updates and Web Portal and App features in case You have enabled the receiving of such communications; (iv) respond to your queries, complaints and/or feedbacks through our Web Portal and App; (v) further, it is understood and accepted by you that we may make public by way of reports, blogs, analysis, etc., all aggregate results and user statistics that support and depict our Web Portal’s and App’s functioning, growth, reach, or success across any platform, digital or otherwise.
  13. We may share your information with our parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates for internal reasons. We at EIGHT are committed to safeguarding your privacy and maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information. Therefore, we want to assure you that we will not store your bank details with us. Any information provided by you, including any payment methods, will be used solely to process your subscription payments.

We implement stringent security measures to ensure the protection of your personal information, during the payment process. Your data will only be utilized to facilitate the subscription transaction and will not be retained or stored by us once the transaction is finalized.

Please note that the Auto-Renewal mandate information is managed by the payment mode you choose and is not within our control.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION KEPT SECURE

(iii) opting out of receiving any promotional or marketing material by contacting our customer service team. Please note that if you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of our use and processing of your information on the basis of your consent before the point in time when you withdraw your consent; (iv) right to have the information transferred to another data controller; and (v) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, of an alleged infringement of applicable data protection laws.
